Aisling Symes Case. 2 Years, 4 Months ago

I have spent hours thinking about this missing little girl and her poor parents and something popped into my head earlier today. At first I thought the Asian lady who has not come forward was probably an innocent party who paused a minute to pat the child on the shoulder as she passed. Asians do love little kids, and when my daughter was living overseas in an Asian country I did notice that they seemed to have a great fascination with small European children. Especially with their fair hair . The women used to make a huge fuss of my grandson, often picking him up and rushing off with him to show him to other in the next room, or out the back of the shop . or restaurant we happened to be in. It used to freak me out to be honest, but my daughter said it happend so much that she sort of got used to it. Anyway, the thought that has really been eating at me today, is to do with the dog. I live in a street where there are always people walking up and down , many of them walking their dogs . I know for instance that the old lab, lives in a certain house and that his master walks him at the same time most days, and that he is a grey haired old man who has been wearing shorts all winter. I know that there is an Asian lady how walks two little terriers very often and she seems to go down to the school just before three to meet her grandchildren. .
What I am saying is, that usually local people KNOW the local dogs in their street because LOCAL people walk their dogs LOCALY. Mostly, they do it regularly and at the same time of day. If no one in that street or adjacent streets recognised the description of either the woman or the dog, and could say, " Oh yes, I have seen her many times before, walking around here, then I am sorry, but I start to feel very, very uneasy about this woman . Makes me think that she was perhaps not from that area at all. You know what, there are a lot of people who notice dogs, and I am sure that any person who has owned a dog themselves would notice it too. Many little kids can also be attracted and even be enticed by cute little dogs too. jeeze, my mind has been churning over so much today, about this that I am even wondering if in fact the whole thing was premeditated and if the dog could have been used as a sort of lure?
You know what ? No adult woman of any nationality would see a little two yr old out on the road without an adult in sight and just go on walking and leave her there to be run over . Even if she could not speak the language, an adult asian woman would stay with the child and knock on the nearest door to try and find the parent. I know a lot of Asians and believe me they do care, They have hearts just like we have. That child was in immense danger as soon as she set foot off the confines of her grandparents property. WHAT was the person who reported seeing her out on on the path with the Asian lady stopping to talk to her thinking as well. ?
I would not have taken my eyes of either of them - I would have asking myself why a kiddy of that age was outside the property and in the street as she was ? I would have been out there to get her away from the traffic,
It is horrendous isn't it ? It doesn't bear thinking about, and I can't stop thinking about it. It is just not what happens in our country. This sort of thing is so very foreign to our land and I keep thinking that those poor parents probably came here in search of a better life, a good quality of life for them to raise their daughters in.
Oh I have tried praying. Didn't do much for me to be honest, and so far, certainly done nothing for the family either.
Sorry all, I know there is nothing any of us can do. I just needed to get a bit off my chest .

Yes KKaty, I am most uneasy about her disappearance still. No pieces of clothing found, .....nothing.
I don't feel the Asian lady would abduct her actually, ...not even for a pedophile friend!
No,.... this would be an actual pedophile who would do this,...probably an opportunist, passing by.
Funny that witnesses can describe the Asian lady so fully,...yet didn't see anybody snatch the child.?
Maybe it does point to the little girl wandering off, & falling down a bank of a waterway, after all
I also pray she will be found soon,...for the frantic parents.

Now TV one have called in Deb Webber to help. Or have they done it as a publicity gimmick? I could understand it if the parents had requested the help of a psychic, but television getting involved smacks of something not quite right. I don't imagine for a minute that DW will solve the case. They have never solved a case yet, to my knowledge.

Flatmate and I also wondered why the news hasnt said or shown much anything about the person who witnessed the asian woman. How accurate or sincere was his/her observation? I realise the police may have silenced that person but reporters usually find ways of getting around blockages...
I've noticed lately that after watching the news we are left with more obvious questions that they, the news people havent asked. There are wide gaps in their reporting ... and they keep repeating scenes from the first day... labelling some of their reports as latest updates,,, misleading and frustrating.
I really really hope this case is solved with a happy ending.

We are all praying for that EllieA, but remember how bitter it was last Monday and Tuesday. It was probably the rawest , coldest night of the year in West Auckland . God, no child could survive being out in that. In a way, you hope that someone has picked up and is caring for her. Maybe a mother who has lost a child perhaps and desperately sought another . A poor sick woman who would be kind to her and who would get found out eventually. Like you EllieA I have found the news items lacking somehow. What breed of a dog is it for instance. Can't they show a picture of a similar dog on TV, so that people might look at it and realise that the Asian's next to them have a dog like that.. I don't think that Asian could have been an innocent local walking her dog . She would have walked her dog locally regularly and someone in that neighborhood would have been able to tell the police that and where to find her and question her. A grey and white dog is not as common as other dogs either... you would think someone would know someone but maybe are thrown because she is not in that immediate area.
So very sad.

Poor, poor wee girl. Amen. Why have they got a digger in ? This still sounds like foul play. It almost sounds as though she was buried .
