Hmmm.. ye----s he's ok ( she concedes grudgingly) But isn't it funny. I cannot help thinking that the young men of today's movie fame cannot hold a candle to some of the older actors that were the heart throbs of the 50's 60's.
A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to watch an old movie " A Place in the Sun." The male lead was played by Montgomery Clift, opposite a very ravishingly beautiful young Elizabeth Taylor.
My Goodness... I had forgotten just how handsome that fellow was! Montgomery Clift was not particularly one of my heart throbs back then , but the other night , seeing him again, set my old heart pit a patting as though I was still sweet sixteen and I wouldn't mind waking up up in the night to find his head on my pillow I can tell you.
Second thoughts... maybe not. ...... my heart would probably just stop. Dead. Never to go again...... LOL
Anyway, I got to wondering why he had not stood out so drop dead handsomely back when I was younger, and I reached the conclusion that it could possibly have been that there were so many handsome men in that same era. They were ALL very handsome and charming , or so it seemed to this old star struck " has been" herself.
