For those of you who may not remember.... 1 Year, 11 Months ago
......Loretta Young. I loved her. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogDyVBjGemA

This is exactly how I entered Maureen's hospital room. I just can't believe she doesn't remember.
I guess I'll have to give it another "whirl".

I liked Loretta Young as well, its sad so many people forget the older stars and think the ones nowadays are the best! Im off to see my Jonny Depp tonight in Alice in Wonderland, well i do say "My" he isnt really mine, but i can pretend and lust! My husband likes Sandra Bullock a lot. i like her also. Never cared for Joan Crawford much, a very hard woman by all accounts, slept her way to the top, which im sure a lot did then....casting couch My all time fav is Doris Day, then Judy Garland (very sad woman) Jonny Depp (goes without saying) Love James Cagney a good and kind man, during the depression he gave money to the farmers. Jimmy Stewart, my list could go on and on, and most are from years ago. Nowadays there is to much "Celebrity" and not enough real stardom and talent. Im mean Paris Hilton "Why"

Jan...we are two peas in a pod, you and I. I love Doris Day! And Johnny Depp! I just wish he would pleeeeaasse play a romantic role and stop with all the craziness! Scissorhands, and the rest. All good, I admit, but I'd love to see him...smootchie and cuddly for a change. You liked James Cagney, my heart throb way back when was Humphrey Bogart. Oh, be still my heart! Jimmy Stewart, adorable for sure.! As far as sleeping their way to the top...I doubt very much if any of that has changed...just add drugs to the mix nowadays. I loved Loretta Young, especially in The Farmers Daughter!
I haven't heard much about Paris for a while. Maybe she became a nun?
I like Sandra Bullock so much, and I even like her man, Jesse James. A tad bit shy on camera, but not so off camera, in his world. I think the "match" is perfect for them. I'll bet that marriage lasts forever. Down to earth people, who treat the movie industry as a job, not a life.

A lot of the younger celebrities, to my mind, are just famous for being famous. Of course I've heard of Paris Hilton but what has she actually done? Can she act, can she sing, can she dance, can she hold a candle to the likes of Doris Day, Cyd Charisse, Ingrid Bergman, even tough old Joan Crawford? They had talent and it has endured even if they have not. In 20 or 30 years what will the likes of Paris Hilton be?

Went to see Alice in Wonderland last night, sadly couldnt get into the 3D version as full up, i really enjoyed it, very dark as i expected it to be, couldnt get my head round why Jonny kept talking scottish? one minute he would be english then he would be scottish? maybe because his character is mad, anyways it was a good film and i really enjoyed it a lot. Itdoesnt really follow the original book, more loosely based i wouldsay, but neverthe less a cracking good enjoyable few hours My daughter in law who really isnt a JD fan enjoyed it as well. i can forgive her though for not being a fan, shes more into Edward Cullen. The vampire in Twilight. Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee were played by Matt Lucas (little britain) the special effects are extremly good so if you fancy a good fantasy film give it a go, i will be buying the DVD when it comes out in May, be first in line.
