Our news in New Zealand last night in part consisted of announcement that the Govt. is already talking about making cuts to a subsidised public transport scheme for pensioners, which was only introduced about two years ago. Yet give with one hand and take away with the other. I hope the pensioners will retain elephant like memories when it comes to the next elections, that is all I can say.
Don't get me wrong, I do like Elephants and it was lovely that the delivery of this new calf in Australia was successful.
