I fell Like A Rock 1 Year, 11 Months ago
Boy did I really mess up today!!!! AS usual today was my cleaning day and I always start in the back of the house and work forward.... I was in the guest bath and proceed to clean my shower glass doors......... I got in the tub just fine and got it all pretty and clean and started to get out.. I got the left foot up over the tub and the right one too but I had my sloppy house slippers on and the right got hooked on the tub as I was getting out..... Talk about a whale...... I didn't think I'd fit between the stool and tub but I did....... I hit my right knee on the edge of the tub, my boob on up and my hand as I came down to the floor as my head hit the tank lid.......Talk about opening my eyes and wondering if I was on my way to heaven, but then I felt the pain in my knee and knew I was still here..... I started feeling to see if I could feel blood... all was well.... so I started to get up and oh my gosh..... I just knew I'd broke something..... But so far all is still working as should but I'm turning black & blue in places I did think would.....My right knee kills me whenever I try to touch it, but not swollen, my hand is going colors, and my boob too. Could be interesting in going to church tomorrow.....Just another day at the Zoo....... I'm most thankful nothing broke.........

Ooooh, Forgiven, sorry to hear that.
Please go and get yourself checked out by a doctor. Five years ago all my orthopaedic dramas started with a hairline fracture so tiny it didn't show up on an x-ray. You might not have fractured anything, and even if hairline, it might not show up on radiography but at least you can get your knee strapped.
Take things easy. Gather some nice music or good books or magazines or just the phone to have a chinwag with friends ... and sit and relax! You had a big shock and need to give the body time to recover. Allow yourself to be spoilt!

What makes you so sure you were headed for heaven Forgiven? Lol. Seriously though, it must have given you a huge fright. You will be more bruised and sore tomorrow so do make sure you take good care of yourself.

Ow oh ow you poor thing Forgiven. I think Suse has it right get that knee at least checked out ASAP just in case. Older bones do chip and fracture more easily and may not 'hurt' as expected, although I reckon you are hurting already . Is there nothing that will keep you down and resting more at times I wonder? The house of Forgiven's adventures continue!!!

Hope you feel better very soon.

AJ, I thought I was headed for Heaven as those stars aren't in my bathroom anymore.....

I think I'm going to be ok as I went and cleaned my church tonite and I didn't hurt any .. My knee is still pretty sensitivy to the touch but it doesn't feel like its knocked off or anything.. If it doesn't get better in a week or two then I'll go see whats happening.... I hate going to my Dr as shes only in twice a week and then she makes me drive all the way to the city for xrays and I have to wait another week to have her call me with results.... My leg could fall off in that time so I'll just wait.....

Sunday when I went to Church I

about croaked before I got home as I was so sore...... Today was somewhat better and figured cleaning the church would help work some of the stiffnes out... Boy I've got hurts where I didn't know would hurt..... hehehehe.LOL.

You need a large tube of Arnica cream Forgiven for all that bruising.
Falls are never quick to get over.

To kill time try working it to death.

I'm sorry you are hurting Forgiven. Things like that happen so fast, there's no time to break the fall. Hopefully, it was only a fall, with a few sprains and bruises, and nothing more. Next time you clean the house...please wear a HELMET! lol
