What a great time I had with my kids..... Was wonderful seeing them..... Was there two days and my Son got a Alergy pink eye and was at the Dr getting meds to clear up the alergies as well as the pink eye. Two days later ater he went to the Dr his wife started coughing and come down sick with conjestion and sore throat, so off to the Dr she goes... Well school starts and the wife being a school teacher had to go but was back home at noon as she was worse. By this time its a day before I'm due to come home so shes been in bed sick most of the time, sons been sick and working, so I and the kids had a great time waiting and nursing them back to good health..... Kids grew so much and Grandson is driving & a girlfriend..... I couldn't believe it...Was good to get home too as DH says I'm not going off like that again on my own......He was a nervous reck.... hehehe...

I'm on the war path too..... Got the dishwasher fixed while I was gone..... WRONG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!. DH wouldn't let the guy have my old part and there was a note in the box the new part came in...... Was from a women that had sent it back to Sears and said it was broke too.......I have the letter and box and all, so I called today Sears, identified myself, and told the person I didn't appreciate paying top dollar for a new part for my dishwasher that wasn't even two years old for a part that was returned back to them.... I read the letter to her and she started saying how sorry she was and I interrupted her and told her I wanted my dishwasher fixed two weeks ago and when could a person be here......She said the quickest would be monday. I said fine, I'd be waiting...... Can you believe they would send another part used...Anyway its never a dull day here.............

Well life seems to follow you with adventures Forgiven. Your poor family and at least you did not get any of their contageous nasties. Oh dear!
That is one big boo boo Sears made. I would send that to some complaints place so they can be warned to sharpen up their business practices if this is one of their ploys , but why replace a defective part with another I wonder?
Did it come from the factory first? I know many sub contract and often take no responsibility. Pass the buck is common isn't it. I am sure you new part will be new & ask to open it yourself....maybe it was the tradesman repair person who swapped the parts too!
Anyhow seems your dh is happy to have you back firing on all spark plugs again, and you had a happy catching up time with your distant family

Welcome back Forgiven. Glad you had a lovely time with your grandchildren and that you didn't fall prey to the dreaded lurgy as well.
It would brass me off to come home with a suitcase full of holiday gear, and find the washing machine still busted though but am sure you will have it all sorted in no time now you are back.

Repair guy came out to the house, 3rd one........ He came to the door and in a snappy voice says, " well how are you today"!!!!!!! I looked at him and said" Pissed"........DH about fell off the couch.....The guy said nothing else and came on in and did what the others did and said he could find nothing wrong.......... I'm watching the whole time, and ask if he would like the number to my eye Dr.........He ask if I would like another repair guy to come out and I said absolutely, as he was number 3 and Sears hasn't improved any......Now when he says the new control, and I said wait a min, how can he say a new control and it has a letter in the box from a person returning it, Don't stand and call it new which I intend to get my money back as soon as I get the dishwasher fixed... I told him why should it take 2 hours to do a little load of dishes when it was about 45 mins before and he said it could take up to 3 1/2 hours....... with our soft water, and I again corrected him and told him not in the desert was he going to find soft water.... So Dh says to the guy you may as well forget it and leave as he wasn't going to win with me...... The guy said he would have another repairman out Friday.......I can hardly wait........ I intend on talking to Sears before Friday though.......LOL.
