Actually I am posting this for Ellieann's benefit really. I just wanted to say to Ellieann " Lucky, Lucky You ! - that you are going to the big game at Vector this weekend ." Now I read that somewhere on here , the other day, and can't find your original post again for some reason - probably means that I really am loosing my grip, but I tell you what, that game last night had me pumped and jumping ! Wasn't it exciting? Not just because we beat the Aussies, but it was a really, really great game, and both sides played great netball. I was sure wishing that like you, I could go to the Arena for the final on Sunday.
Enjoy your fashion parade too by the way... that is Saturday isn't it ?

No really. I consider it's far too much the same thing over and over and I hate the way the referees will not let the game flow even when there is a clear advantage. However, I did watch last night's game with half an eye and got mildly interested. Good on the girls anyway. It's always good to beat Australia who are awesome in most sports.

Himself hates sport so I did not get to see it but I was strutting & crowing when I saw the results.

Now go the Black Ferns!!! Yahaaay!!!

I loved that game too. I was very nervous in the first quarter with Anna Scarlet coming on as GK instead of Katrina Grant but to my surprise Anna did way better than expected. I just also hoping that Irene would be able to think faster and change her game according to what is happening around her. And she did, she was fantastic. Every player pulled finger to put together a 4 quarter game and didnt let up the pressure. Very proud of them

Sunday's game is going to be a blinder - Australia will come out with all guns blazing to make up for that very unusual thrashing. My two faves in the Aussie team Sharelle McMahon and Monia Gerrard were very quiet last night weren't they? Its going to be exciting all right being at the actual game - cant wait I'll be thinking of you Katy

Well it is going to be a mighty game on Sunday. The decider. We can be sure that Ozzie are going to come back at us with all gun's blazing though. Norma will be working on them in the meantime for sure !. Maybe they got a bit complacent after winning the first round because soon after our girls stole the march on them in that first quarter, they did seem falter badly. It was their timing and handling skills what really let them down .
The Ferns were the opposite... they really upped the level of their performance and showed us all what their strengths were. Yes I agree Ellieann, that Anna Scarlet played a fantastic game last night, as did Jolene Henry and Temepara. It is hard not to love Irene... she is a brilliant sportswoman, who is so consistently great. I am very pleased to see that other team members are coming up too, and getting a go, so to speak.
Yes, we should see both sides at their best on Sunday, and I expect that it will be a bit of a nail biter. The best team will win on the day.

Crikey. Talk about a nail biter. 22 all at half time, then neck and neck to 31 all. It was pretty exciting there for a while Ellieann wasn't it. I was really tensed up with the excitement of it all.
Sadly, sadly , VERY sadly though, the Aussie girls stole the march on our girls with the final score 46 - 40 . What a game ! Congrats to the winners - fantastic game. " cough, cough, splutter , splutter" Oh dear, something is nearly stuck in my craw , having to say that ! LOL...

Well the Black Ferns did it for us.!!
