I love all nuts...& seeds.

I also put raisins or cranberries in with a bag of salted peanuts to nibble.

Salt & sweet at the same time.

Mind you, nuts are oily, contain a high fat content, & not to be consumed in large quantities if dieting.

I love chocolate almonds

I've weaned myself off the chocolate part and quite like the almonds in my muesli, I prefer roasted but can do natural. I love cashews more but cant stop eating them once I start.

Brazil nuts with dates I like heaps too Great idea about freezing them, thanks.

Coincidently , only this morning I heard on the radio that as the result of scientific research, Walnuts have been given the title "King of all Nuts."
Apparently they have by far the most minerals, vitimins and anti-oxidents and are extremely good for us. We should eat lots and lots of walnuts, and they recommended 7 per day.
I don't mind, I love nuts, and could easily eat that quota per day if they were not so expensive, that is !

I put slivered almonds in my oatmeal with blueberries.

I know it fully removes the health aspect from the peanuts, but can anyone tell me how they make that delicious peanut brittle that you can buy in America ? It is just caramelised sugar and butter or is there more to it ? I have had it both in honolulu with macadamia in it, and also on the mainland. Macadamia is good, go the peanut is the best. Man I just love that stuff. How hard would it be to make I wonder?

I think it is probably mostly sugar and butter but I know how yummy it is too . I think there will be recipes if you Google Peanut Brittle. In fact, you are leading mea astray Artichoke, because that is just what I am going to do now.
Peanut Brownies are another old favourite of mine too but brittle is best !
