Unfortunately I am not a gardener or cook, I know if I wasn't so lazy I could learn to cook. I admire other peoples gardening and cooking skills but lack the motivation to emulate them.

I have had phases where my diet was awful, in particular to much animal fat. I don’t do that anymore. I was not brought up eating fish or seafood and I still have never eaten seafood, but I do eat salmon. If I can’t be bothered to buy fresh I buy frozen pieces and microwave vegetables to go with it, I know it’s lazy.

In the developed world we are so fortunate/spoilt, just go to the supermarket and it’s all there, mind you there is, of course, a dark side to that, we evolved to hunt, gather, cook .... all I do is walk around the supermarket. I sometimes wonder if we transported a family from a famine zone into our life what they would think of us and how spoilt and wasteful we are.

wasting food is a no 1 evil as far as I'm concerned. I simply hate waste in any part of my life which is one reason why I won't let good growing soil go to waste.
