Almond Gateau - Heart Foundation Recipe 5 Years, 6 Months ago  
Hi guys, Just wondering if anyone out there has an old Heart Foundation cookbook that had a recipe for an almond gateau. Mum and dad got the book around 15 years ago and this cake is awesome, however they have lost it!!! Anyone who has an old HF cookbooks if you could please have a quick squizz to see if this recipe is in there. If it is, PLEASE let me know!!!! Thanks!

I dont have the HF book that you are after but I did Google the recipe and came up with the following site: www.vhi.ie/pdf/health/almond_gateau.pdf

Thanks, but not the right one. It is a delicious monster of a cake, that is so rich and yet so so moreish. We substitue the almonds for peanuts because they give it a more subtle flavour than the almonds do, but it is oh so nice. I have been looking everywhere. Thank you for trying to help though!!! Much appreciated.

I've got a Heart Foundation cookbook but this recipe isn't in there. Perhaps you could contact them directly and ask? BTW, do you mean HF NZ or Aus?
