Oh my! Now that seems grande and very fancy fare. I'm almost drooling. Recipe please! Otherwise we're going to have to hunt you down and when we do, turn up for dinner!

BTW: We northerners go for the simple life. We just had a fresh green salad & vinaigrette alongside the freshly caught snapper (filletts), lightly dusted in seasoned flour and gently pan-fried in a little olive oil and also some steamed jacket spuds. My mum opted for the fresh local harbour mussels, steamed on the hot plate, in their shells.

Dreading going back down to my course in Auckland next week

I felt like having something really traditional for a change, so we had scotch fillet steak with fried onions, steamed broccoli and carrot and mashed potato. Haven't had anything like that for ages, we have a lot of middle eastern inspired food. Speaking of which,

Salad entree
Glass red wine
Chicken cooked on the Grill
Baked Potatoes
Stuffing made in a loaf tin.
Peas
gravy made from roasted onions.
We both felt like roast chicken.
My guilt free way of making it.

The recipe for last nights tea is as follows ( and very very very simple) any RW could do this one !!!!!!!!!!
some trimmed lamb cutlets- coated with some plain flour(and sumac for adults) then marinated in bottled garlic and olive oil and grilled under a hot grill- till seared but still very slightly pink in the middle......the potatoes were just the general "old spuds" coated with olive oil sesame seeds and salt & pepper and microwaved for 10 minutes then placed under the grill, at the end, with the meat to toast the sesame seeds.
The Tabbouli was made earlier yesterday....
1 cup fine brown or white bourghal ( cracked wheat )...soak for one hour in cold water....then drain in a fine sieve pushing the excess water through with your knuckles.
4 beautiful ripe tomatoes, deseeded and diced finely
2 bunches continental parsley chopped very finely
1 bunch mint chopped finely
2 large lemons juiced, whisked with 6 tablespoons of olive oil and salt and pepper to taste. Thoroughly drain bourghal add to chopped greens, mix, add tomatoes and pour lemon olive oil mix & leave in the fridge for at least an hour.....every one loves it in our house...today we finished it off with bread rolls with ham......
No need to hunt me down...I am happy to share all my recipes with you wonderful RW :!: :!: :!:
nite nite
