We were wondering if this
"Image visualisation" is linked to ACC's teapot-up-your-nose, nasal enema
"Vocational Rehabilitation" therapy?
QUOTE:
The above study aims at understanding people's motivations in physical activity and developing and evaluating techniques which will help promoting physical activity in people's lifestyle. The study involves a brief one-off session (around 30 minutes) where you would be given instructions to generate some mental images regarding physical activity and fill out some short follow up questionnaires 1 week, 2 weeks and 4 weeks afterwards. The one-off session will be conducted in University of Auckland's Tamaki campus. You will need to practise the image visualisation everyday for 4 weeks (easy and fun!).
Tentatively, the sessions are scheduled in the mornings (7:45am) Mon to
Fri, at 1:30pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and early evenings
(4:30pm/5:30pm) from Tuesdays to Fridays. Please see if you can come to any ONE of these sessions. However, if none of these times suits you,
please let me know and I can make other arrangement at your convenience.
All participants will receive a souvenir. Gift vouchers will be given
to those who completed all questionnaires of the study.
I'll post out the participant information sheet, consent form and a
questionniare to you once you have chosen a session time at your
convenience. Please complete the questionnaire and sign the consent
form before you come in for the session. If you haven't given me your
postal address, please kindly include that when you tell me your
preferred session time. Please let me know the earliest possible time
that you can come in and I'll start scheduling people into different
time slots. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Kind regards,
Carina
