Gosh Moe, sorry to hear about pending surgery, but you a star for taking care of your grandson. Have you tried to see if you can get some sort of funding for SS through the public health system?

My GP never said SS is subsidised by the Public Health system. Do please tell us if you know something my doctor doesn't?

Try being f@ & 55 due to a bad back/inability to exercise anymore?!?! & no I cannot afford the programme even if there was a clinic in the Hokianga.

Has anyone decided to take this further? I've just been talking to the Director of Sure Slim about the possibility of a refund but it looks tricky as I have to track down the franchisee. I joined the Lower Hutt clinic in March and three months later they closed on me. I never received a phone call or anything. I found out because I rang up to change my appointment and there was a message on their voice mail saying that they had closed. I'm not happy as the main reason I joined was the one on one consultations. Without them I haven't been staying on track. I'm also kind of miffed that I have to weigh myself on the inadequate scales I have at home and ring their Albany clinic for a remote consultation as this isn't what I paid for. I'm thinking about the disputes tribunal or fair go. Anyone else interested?

I am very interested!
I have contacted Fair Go today! Consumer! C A B and my local paper also some legal advice.
I am sooo frustrated with these guys at the moment!
My Nelson Branch closed 3 weeks after i joined!
And i have been battling with them since and i plan on getting my money back!
Hearing it has happened to so many other people too has made me that much more determined to do it to!

DO NOT TOUCH THIS OUTFIT!!! More clinics in New Zealand have closed!! Clinics are closing in Australia and the UK every week, and now the people at the top are trying to on sell more clinics as they close - whats that all about???? Taking more peoples money.

I understand from a friend who joined with a clinic that people can get their money back from sureslim nz if a cinic has closed, so all of you out there, go for sureslim nz and get your money back, disputes tribunal is the place to go.

This outfit is a fraud!!! Do not buy programmes or clinics you will get burned!!!!

Hi guys. I joined Palmerston North SS four weeks before it closed last year. I was pretty put out at first but decided that I still wanted to lose weight and have gone on to lose 14 kgs up til now. It is hard sometimes on your own but you've got to believe you'll get there. Im pretty gutted I lost all my money but I still use the SS program and it has worked just without their support.

I have joined Sureslim in Hamilton and am onto my third week. The lady who owns the Hamilton franchise has also opened up another one in the King Country area. Obviously, despite all the other clinincs clsoing, there are still some viable ones. To be perfectly honest - I don't beleive that SS will not work for me simply because clinics are closing. Like Farmgirl has said it is working for her and it certainly is for me too. I have lost nearly 4kgs in just two weeks and I am not finding the strict diet hard at all.
