Of course Faye, the earthquake would have had me pulling up all the stakes and fleeing ! But, that is surely a really interesting variety you have got in in spite of all that shaking and rattling. Good for you, for hanging on in there. You cannot beat a lovely tomato sandwich or salad. I have only had the Tiny Toms and a couple of other plants which I am not really sure what they are. Bigger and more fleshier ones. They were self sown ones so could be anything really. I have just noticed another pair of very healthy looking young plants which have popped up beside my compost bins, so will nurture them along and see what they turn out to be . My neighbour's tomatoes were later than mine and are just ripening now. He seems to have about 6 different types, they are all shapes and sizes, and he always tells me to help myself to anything I want, which is really lovely of him. He says that he only gardens as a hobby, and always grows too much for the two o them. I don't mind in the least of course.

I truly hate having to buy Tomatoes, because, as you say, they just never have that same flavour for some reason. I think they must be picked too soon, and of course, keeping them in cool storage, doesn't improve them either. Beans are another thing that taste so much better eaten as soon as they are picked .
