Aj is right Chookie make them give you a pain killing anti-inflammatory regimen.
Watch your stomach (they can give you a buffer) & also your bowel if on codeine.
Please just keep insisting till you get some relief. They count on our generation to be polite & unassuming.
Fool them Chookie, behave like your Grt Granny would have.
March in with a buggy whip & demand attention.

My Grt Gran was famous for threatening Lawyers, Politicians, & pompous Drs; with taking a horse whip to them.

I told one Dr who nearly killed my DH, that I would phone the press first, then take to him with a stock whip & get the whole sordid mess in the news paper, if he did not step aside & let another Dr operate.
We were sent to Wellington thank God.

Make a big noise........ I feel for you and can't picture you stuck at home........Wishing you the best of Luck.......LOL.

Thought you had been quiet lately Chook. So sorry to hear of your continued pain . Now, have recently had a brother tell me that he had been suffering a lot of pain lately. Dr diagnosed gout, and prescribed allipurinol. He also was taking Frusemide for fluid retention from an earlier prescription. The next thing he knew, he was in dire discomfort . Apparently they do not go well together. He stopped the fruesimide and then, about a week later, he is relatively pain free again. It was non compatable drugs causing the problem . The Doctor apologised . I know it is probably nothing to do with your problems Chook, but just putting the info up there , so other's will see it and possibly benefit from the knowledge too.
Cheers,
Kate

Spent almost 8 hours in a wheelchair at local hospital, mostl y just witing, had more x-rays, blood taken and told it not arthritis or a cyst but seem to be a bit of a mystery injury.
Thank you all for your suggestions. I am on anti inflams and was on Codeine and take about 250 t0 350 mgs of Tramadol a day plus a Durogesic patch and about 6 Panadol Ostteo daily for the spine so being a 'druggie' already additional drugs I am loathe to take, or have prescribed. Hospital doc seems to think like a knee sprain. He did suggest I go see my wing doctor who does knee injuries as well ASAP.
But I have just stopped doing almost anything except pitstops and the bare minimum even off PC. It is not as acute all the time, now so must be healing.

I am so bored and somewhat nauseas. my lovely neighbour who moved down the road a bit took me to see my doc, after she rang they gave me an instant appointment, amazing eh? I could not get one before 7th Dec. Anyhow she set the ball rolling. Bess her my Maureen, and her mate Roger, who delivered also later, a yummy braised shank and fresh veggies dinner for which I ate and near burst after not eating much for many a day. I need to watch this also I am not feeding myself well. Aware of it so will do what I can.

I always bounce back chickings this is just another episode of the Life of a hen. Cluck cluck.

and, think my cat has peed on the carpet near the bathroom though.. The smell is so familiar...Oh gawd!

Just chuck a heap of Baking Soda on it Chookie & cope with it later.
Try smoothies to keep up your nutrition while you are in this state--- I truly feel for you.
Glad you have someone to help when the chips are down.

Cabin fever setting in...docs appoints for next Monday and specialist Friday down the hill. May have to take Community transport
Missing my three loves, especially Bree and her cuddles and love and doing girl things together.

Dear Deaf old Cat is puking on my persian rugs daily now. I manage to scoop up oh yuk.. I think she is worried about me ...she sits on my head and pulls my hair at night. Purring and a drool now and then.
Home Care lady came today, floors are at least cleaned again. I found out she shares the same birthday as my daughter Dec 9. I wonder will I get tto Sydney to give her a hug (and get one back)? Not at this rate, bugger!
