Re: Reductil 1 Year, 11 Months ago
And now that i have had my little rant......here is my advice - as a person who has struggled with weight loss also.....

Change one habit at a time....and do the easy ones first....ie;

Stop eating after dinner, do that for several months...as long as it takes to feel like you no longer want to eat in the evenings (eat fruit at first if you really have to have something) and then start having two large glasses of water with a half a lemon squeezed each, fifteen minutes before breakfast each day. do this for as long as it takes to become habit - a month, two months...three, however long it takes. then focus on your breakfast...most importantly, make sure you have some.....make it a good meal with some protein (eggs or a bit of bacon maybe) but no margarine or sugar.....do this until it is habit............live by the saying "eat like a king in the morning and a pauper at night" etc etc, this sounds like a slow process but it is effective and takes no more time than the continual yo yo dieting we are all familiar with. As you lose weight you will naturally have more energy and find yourself engaged in more physical activity.

Also I highly recommend the book "Liver Cleansing Diet" by Dr Sandra Cabot.......it has recipes and such, which personally i don't care for as I don't like "rabbit food", but it gives realistic and informed information on how the body functions and the requirements to use this to your advantage in the area of weight loss.

Where is *here*?

Why did you put on weight again, if you need Duromine again?

Why not ring around medical centres where you live, ask for the oldest geyser doctor there, & maybe he'll prescribe Duromine for you.

Count all your blessings. the ones that cost you no money.

From Stuff 'Weight-loss drug removed from market

A ministerial advisory committee has recommended that the weight-loss drug Reductil be removed from the New Zealand market because taking it is too risky.

Healthcare professionals have been advised not to issue any new prescriptions for the drug from today.

The decision comes following a Medicines Adverse Reactions Committee (MARC) and Medsafe review into the drug, marketed as Reductil in New Zealand, but officially named sibutramine.'

Holy bloody hell! I knew what the latest postings on this thread would be as I heard today's news about Reductil being removed from the market in NZ. But thought I would scroll back a bit and was ******* GOBSMACKED, FLABERGHASTED, STUNNED and ABSOLUTELY OFFENDED ***** by a graphic pictorial posting on the previous page. Is this new? How come no one else has commented on it. Sheryl ????!!!!

We have been actively ignoring some posts, and it fills the page so the next post immediately started a new page, have perhaps been lucky to not see it in one way.
