I think moderation is key eat what you like just no too much of any one style of food.
I do lots of veggies and not a huge amount of red meat but I do love it so.
My weakness is ice cream and donuts I eat too much of that.ha ha.
I'm a compulsive over eater and just eat way too much all thru the day.

For a couple of years now, I have been cooking and eating as whole as I can. If something has more than 10 ingredients, I don't buy it. I buy fruits and veggies when they are in season. Because my step-son is bipolar, I started looking into the stuff that he was eating and the packaged and processed foods were really affecting him. So we started cutting things out or making the swaps for them. The products that I have the most problem with is the lo-fat, lo-cal stuff. It does not even make it in my shopping cart. Because if they taking stuff out of them, what do they have to add to make them taste good?

Sugar, sugar and more sugar probably ! I am inclined to think that sugar in fact is worse for us that fat. People think that when they buy low fat, that it must be healthy, but not, no, if they stop and check the other ingreds contained as you do. Good on you Janann, for being so wise !

I agree with ditzygirl about eating anything in moderation. I think it is a combo of a lot of things that has made us heavier as a whole. I just think that we have to re-learn again about how say enough is enough and to stop when we are full.

Well the way the price of all things dairy is esculating in this country, one of the world's best dairy producing nations, I would say that it will be right off the menu in many homes after this week. , I think we should all get together and set a " non Dairy week, and let it all stay on the shelves of the supermarket to teach them a thing or two. A friend told me that the price of butter had already gone up considerably when she shopped at her supermarket today. It was only darn well announced yesterd that there was going to be a rise. You can't tell me that the supermarket did not still have some stock for which they had paid the old price ? They are so greedy !! There should be at least a short span of time in between the announcement and the rice, to allow the old priced items to work through the system.
There... another topic. Not inspiring, but better looking than the last one in leading position
