Grumpy, you are out on a limb on your own, about certain posts.

As you say, some are of interest, others aren't.

For 12 years now, we have had the weight/fat brigade on here, pushing their agenda on those issues.

It not only becomes boring & uninteresting, but the haters of fat subjects far outweigh, (no pun intended) the few, or only one, you, that find it of interest, but not to us.

So we choose to not answer posts of this nature. You would engender more interest, if you posted on dedicated weight sites, more to your liking

And no, it is not necessary to be permitted to do so.

In fact, if the members prefer to wish happy birthdays, post mundane posts, whatever they want, shows that that is what the majority want..It is about our daily doings that this forum is all about, so you can see what friends we all are after this long time.

The end of the world - THIS Friday? TODAY???? Damn! I had plans for tomorrow. I suppose I'll miss the occasion. And what about the world cup? Are we to be robbed of it again???? It's not fair.

The sky didn't fall Faye, ..nor were we Raptured into heaven.

I wonder if Gadaffi has had his wicked way with the promise 19 vestal virgins?

Or was it 39? ? ?

Just thinking about another instance of cognitive dissonance

Rich (and/or powerful and famous) old, sometimes elderly, men who marry very good looking women 30+ years younger than themselves.

Of course she really loves you, you money is irrelevant and she would still be with you if you were a bus driver.

For some, if the AB's loose tonight, the sky might well fall. I worry that so many are too sure that the French will be a walk over . You listen to talk back and the Kiwi's seem to me to be overly cocksure about winning the World Cup. Whoa up ~ the game has still to be played yet, and counting ones chickens can be a very dangerous thing to do.
We wish them all well though and may the best team win in the end.

I don't follow football,..(oops sorry Rugby) can't stand it actually, but proud of the lads for winning just the same.

Each to his own.

Me neither Lucky I can find no interest in bullymen bouncing off each other grappling for an oval ball and getting into tushy -up scrums...I know they are the modern days equivalent of the Roman Gladiators BUT....naw I must have been a Vestal Virgin then or a parrot in a tree.
