Actually Maytanne, that lady you saw, sounded to me more like a Tabby than the usual Tortie colourings of solid patches.
I suppose there maybe a Tortie with wavy stripes, but I have never seen one, LOL.
Anybody else seen one like that?

oh my-my-my! Ladies, you are reminding me of oh so long ago when I used to do my own coloring. I've let it go natural in the last 20 years, first of curiosity, then out of relief - t'is salt and pepper and my natural auburn now.. just enough to remind me that I used to be a freckle-faced redhead lass. But I well remember working very hard to get rid of that flame, including an attempt at platinum blonde that turned into a lovely shade of aged-copper green the instant I hit the swimming pool.
Bless our hearts... meanwhile we get by on the strength of our dazzling smiles and wonderful personalities... and maybe even pretend like we did this garish pink 'do on purpose!
Serious note: If the scalp pain persists, consider a shampoo formulated for radiology patients, heavy on the aloe vera and vitamin E, perhaps some rosemary. There are products out there geared for those who have difficulty handling normal shampooing due to chemical effect, radiology, chemo and the like. Give a shout if you want me to grab up some referral links.

Thank you for that info Caseyfern, my scalp actualy must have needed a good defoliation as tt is fine ,not an itch in sight..I do have an Aloe Vera plant that is great for many things too.
My hair is still very orangey marmalde, not of the attractive hue..soon I will fix it.

Guess who is sitting here waiting 45 for the goop in her hair to activate change? No, not Nordic Blondie this time..something with highlites.. will advise after it is washed and dried..
Quavering? Nope, and this one does not sting either..
We always imagine we are going to have some locks like a fairytale Pricess and end up with some hued fuzz or something. nowhere as near to our imagination.don't we..? Well I usually do, so, orange marmalade be gone..

OMG CC is brave - a plucky clucky no less ! I have to tell you that I should be the one known as Chicken here because I am really very chicken about having my hair coloured by a professional, let alone by myself!! My hair dresser keeps telling me, ( she is malayasian) " Getting grey, too grey, need colour , need colour here," and she tweaks at the bits above my ears. I tell her " it is OK, I don't mind a bit of grey, no worry, no worry. !" Then in the next breath she tells me " Hair getting thin, over here very thin now.. " Ouch! as she takes another tug just to show me the exact spot. Now the thought of baldness is a bit of a worry. I have decided that the less chemicals that are put on my head the better from now on. I am too afraid of my locks all falling out and going down the plug hole in the shower! I have recently had a perm after giving my head a long rest from that. . Good Luck Chook... Don't leave that goop on too long, you might turn into a Rhode Is Red, or maybe a Black Orpington, or some thing else quite foul. Watch it Chooky - i thought you must have flown the coop by the way, I missed you the past few days.
