I think we mean different parts of the anatomy when we talk fanny, Forgiven. Yours is the one you sit on, ours is round the front.

The last 2 pages of this topic had me in fits of the giggles for sure! Oh Forgiven Dear heart, you make me smile with your comments as you stand up for yourself against all comers...way to go girl!

my feet are badly neglected as we have no one here in MM to treat us to such blissful pampering. Those foot spas are great though and when mine are really sore they feel hugely better after a good soak. Would that I had a handy 'massuese' to do a massage etc.

The only shoes I find comfortable are the Kumfs brand and I bless the ones I bought years ago when we were working...a pair of court shoes for best and a pair of walking shoes similar to trainers but much nicer...still going strong. They are expensive but my word the wear one gets from them is amazing. I notice their latest range is very 1940ish! I will wear a pair of shoes to the death before I buy another pair...never been one for having lots of pairs. What I do have will see me out I think!

What I'd like to know is: What do Americans call what we call 'bumbags'...those zippered purse/bags for money, wallets, passport etc. attached to a belt and worn in front of the body...no where near our bums at all!

How can one call a fanny in front of a person and not dragging up the end.............We call the roll in front the extra pouch.......

Your right Sue & Lucky....... We call those little snap bags fanny bags or butt bags....... See quite a lot of them here at swap meets and in malls..........There not so easy for pick pocketers to rip you off or purse snatchers to get.... We do have a lot of that going on too.......

I've never been to a massuese' before.......... I only went to this gal who works your feet over and After that round I'm not sure I'll go to another.....I have one of those feet soakers and that feels pretty good......I hope you can get to a foot person soon too Pusslil..........

My Mother taught me to care for my feet by just watching her.

She would soak them in a big tin bowl with Epsom salt; work the dead skin off around the nails.
Rubbed heals & any rough skin on a big pumice.
Always dried with a rough towel.
Then she would put a glass milk bottle or a coke bottle on the mat in front of her chair
& roll it back & forth under her foot
She would then put a thin coat of Vaseline on them & a thin cotton sock.

As she got older & could not bend so well she made a long handle for a foot file she got at the Chemist..
She never gave up looking after her feet.

After that treatment you feel as if you are walking on air.
I always give myself a mental kick when I do it for not doing it as often as she did.

To kill time try working it to death.
