Good evening all,

My name is Jennifer and I live in South Florida, USA. I have been diligenty looking for a site that caters to women and provides a safe forum to discuss many of this issues that some of us experience. I have found it difficult to share my feelings with people in my life because I don't think that they truly can relate to some of the thing I deal with. I am not looking for a venting atmosphere as much as I am looking for just some positive women friends. ok, and maybe some venting.... I am a single mother of two boys, one 15 and one 11, and I am 36 almost 37...ugh. I was born Catholic, adopted by a Jewish family and converted at 3, and then at 24 became a Christian. Crazy huh? I am actually of French decent, and have two multi racial children. Lots of history there.
I realize that the majority of the community is not located here. NZ - is New Zealand right? lol. Gotta look that one up on the map. but that is just fine by me. Friends are everywhere and as women I would assume it safe to say that most of us regardless of nationality or race have experienced similar issues- at least so far that is what I have read. I look forward to chatting with some of you and will start to familiarize myself with this site.

We have members from other countries . I am from Australai myself and, that is really a hop skip and leap over the Tasman Sea.

There are all ages of women on RW and sometimes we get a little slow in posting, but also hope you too will post us something new or some perspective.
There are so many silent members .I think this is common with most groups always the regular wtiters LOL
But I am sure you will find us open and friendly all the same.

Hello Jennifer - It's nice to have another member from the USA. We have a few but would welcome even more as the wider the membership, the more we come to realise that we are all sisters under the skin. I am one of the New Zealand crowd but there are also member from Australia and England too. We have all become good friends over the years even though most of us have never met. Please feel welcome to join in any discussions and so on that are currently being aired and please, bear with our somewhat zany senses of humour, (and our non-American spellings of certain words.)

You're right, it doesnt matter what country we live in, the internet is a great tool for communicating with people as if they are right in the same room beside you.

Welcome to RW Jennifer and thanks for the intro and telling us a little about yourself and yr life and family in Ft Lauderdale.
The site is a little quiet right now. As one of members aptly said in another thread, her batteries have gone flat, and I think that is probably what a few of us are feeling like right now. Just coming out of our winter here, and hopefully with the spring and a the addition of some new energy to the site, it will soon perk up again!.
