Hi there everyone... just joined... and i'm another Real Women in this world...

and as much as i'm a RW - i'm hoping to become a bit of a smaller one... well alot smaller of one... just over 60kgs to loose.. and need all the advise and support I can get . I'm in CHCH

Anna - RW is about so much more than a weight loss arena. We, by and large, are larger women who have come to accept our size and are prepared to get on with life regardless. That is not to say that we have issues with losing weight, which is an admirable aim but it is never our sole reason for being. If you read old postings you will find that weight loss is rarely ever mentioned and certainly not high-lighted. Having said that, if you are looking for a place to be with fun and caring women who have many interests and subjects to discuss, then this is it. I hope you will join in our discussions and occasional sillinesses and enjoy the company that is on offer. Welcome!

I'm from Christchurch too and 60 kgs off me would be wonderful, but it's never going to happen as I have trouble losing even one. I'm too old and too lame to be active enough to be a successful loser.

Hi Anna, Nice to welcome new members and hope that you will find some other interests here apart from the diet one. Most of us as Faye has said , are 'done' with dieting. We have been there and done that and some of us have even reached the conclusions that we actually 'dieted ourselves fat," in the long run. Now we are advocates of the healthy eating regime, and dieting is probably the very least talked of topic on this site in fact. Your opinions and ideas on any of our topics will be welcome. It is fairly quiet around here lately, while I suppose many of us have got Christmas on our minds, and all the usual end of year activities that go with that. Shopping....... ugh!
i went out this morning, and it was certainly busier than it was a week ago. Paper Plus had a good one day book sale on - managed to cross a couple of names off my shopping list , Yay!

As the other ladies have mentioned, we are in a space of acceptance of who & what we are, big or small, just ourselves.
