A bargain! 3 Years, 7 Months ago
I did a bit of retail therapy with my daughter yesterday and went to Save mart in Rotorua. I actually found a liteweight summer dress that fits me and will be so cool on the hottest day! Best part is, it makes me look slimmer!

Got a lovely T shirt too but on trying it on I found it was far too short...grrrr...I like T shirts LONG! It looked ok on the hanger...
It's a rare event for me to find something that does not need altering to fit my 'undertallness'
Same with shoes and I thought I had found a great pair of sandals..well I wore them today and after only 12 minutes or so in them, they killed my feet and legs! Ok while wearing them but on coming home and taking them off is when the pain hit...that lasted all day! Ok so I usually wear flatties everywhere, and these have a slight heel but not much of one. Still, they were on sale at a good price ( $10.00) but I can see I'm going to have to go back to Kumfs...they are the only shoe that does not give me gyp...just me wallet

Trying wearing your new shoes for a little while each day Pusslil. It could be just a temporary think if the shoes are a little higher, may be putting strain on different muscles in your legs than your more usually worn flat ones do.
Instead of breaking in your new shoes, you may just need to break in your old legs... but just do it gradually - an hour or two at most at a time to start with. I sometimes have this problem when going back from summer into winter footwear. in summer I tend to wear flatter shoes - sandals but in winter I sometimes wear shoes with more elevation or boots with a bit of heel too. I am verically challenged too, and have to keep my pants from dipping in the puddles

Here is my tip for new shoes. Stick them into the washtub and wet them thoroughly then wipe off all the excess water and put them on and wear them until they are dry and they will mold to your foot shape and be the best sandals you ever wore. Pick a nice sunny day so your tootsies don't get cold. I have done this consistently over the years.... even with my $100 plus Diana Ferarris leather ones. I have a hammer toe and it kills me if I don't mold the shoe to fit. I had many years messing around with leather carving and wetting the leather does it no harm at all. If the shoes are synthetic it may not work quite as well as there is very little stretch in it however it will aid the problem.
This also works wonders for mens work boots and this is how a friend of ours used to break in his new boots in the Army.
I went into Save Mart ( Cranford Street) one day here with my daughter and there is a section there where they sell the designer labels and the prices are ridiculous. Shirts etc for $70 and 80 dollars. Some of the jackets were in in excess of $100. Get real Save Mart.

Savemart are a bit weord like that, in that section is all kinds of tat at crazy prices, whereas elsewhere in the shop are heaps of designer labels for peanuts. I just don't even bother looking in that section. Mind you mostly what I buy there is for the vintage section as I love collecting the old stuff. Can't fit any of it but the theatre has benefitted from it!
