I have just seen an advertisment for ts14plus clothing from Australia is opening stores in Newmarket, Auckland and Wellington CBD early spring.
I know some of you have had clothes from them by mail order so thought you might be interested.

am not really a mail order shopper. The rare times that I have done, I have been disapointed in sizing , cut or style on me. I really prefer to try on before I buy and save all the hassles of returning goods. Something for the next time we are in Newmarket girls...

Thanks Jess. I have oredered online from TS and also have purchased from the the David Jones dept store in Sydney when I was last over there. A very stylish label indeed.

We have 1626 shops in Oz and I found one in the huge Castle Towers Mall in Castle Hill a short hop from where my daughter has bought this little red brick cottage to renovate in time..These clothes have some style and better and a little more interesting fabrics, but I still want to get back tpo Port Stephens where that small wonderful boutique for larger ladies had so many wonderful patterns and colours. I could have worn anything they sold in my size and it was a fit, no pulling around the bust or tum..just great. They had them made in Bali I think, Some fabrics were Bali inspired . Top buttons too to enhance the garments not just round cheapies, but almost as ornamental touches. Some clothes were tailored, others casual and some absolutely striking like some coats..oh my.

I'm excited, I have a lot of their gear but their measurement chart is not very pear friendly and so I've had much better luck trying and buying not buying online. Cyberchook lovey, sounds like the shop your found may have been a Taking Shape, are you sure it wasn't? Apart from an over fondness for synthetics, their stuff is so nice and reasonably priced too, and you get an automatic 10% discount by joinin their club which is free and has no strings attached!

Well, I am RIGHT impressed by the new TS store in the Riato Centre in Newmarket.
Visited there on Saturday afternoon and tried on about 15 garments. Was very impressed by the range, the prices ~ compared to other specialist size shops, rather than chain stores ~ and the fantastic service. The sizes were majorly ego-boosting. Apparently Australian sizes are larger than ours so everything I tried on was too big by far. The first purchase qualifies one for a loyalty card which immediately knocks 10% from the cost.
Though I was very open to buying and severely iin need of some COLOURED pants ~ Jackie take note; not black!!! ~ it seemed I was outta luck. Everything was just too big or too wide or too long. The very clever 20ish sales person picked up on my despondency and made it her mission to find me something. Whereas I THOUGHT I needed coloured pants because I have about 28 black tops she wisely recognised that I could wear a LONGER coloured layering top, or a SHORTER coloured overtop, with black bottoms and black tops I already had. Very clever young woman.
I also spied a GORGEOUSLY flattering swimsuit and some very very versatile elasticised slide sandals. I'll return.

SO. Maybe the next Auckland RW outing could be a session at TS followed by a movie at the Rialto cinema upstairs followed by a foodhall dinner?? Perhaps mid-December?

To find everything you try on is too big, must have been uplifting too. You are correct though, I have always found Australian sizing to be more generous than ours here. I buy a 14 here but an Aussie size 12 is ample for me from KMart here,
