My daughter and I are having a wee girls break on the Gold Coast for a week from tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone could tell me where there are shops which have larger sizes in Surfers Paradise. Thanks heaps

sorry Ruann, have just noticed your unanswered question sitting here. Must be that we have no members who live on Gold Coast on site here. That is a shame. I am sure that you will find plenty of larger sizes over there in Aus. though. Come on Ozzie gals... what are some of the stores you know that might have a branch up on Gold Coast.? Actually, the last time I was there Ruann, I found some quite nice things in Target but I am sure there must be others . Anyway, Hope you have a lovely sunny break and some great retail therapy.

Thanks KKK-Katy for your response. I am back from my shopping in Surfers Paradise and have to report that they are sadly lacking shops catering for anyone above a size 18. Sure there are one or two shops such as Myer which has lovely clothes but very expensive and as you say Target but there was nothing there that was suitable. It made me appreciate what shops we have - well in Christchurch anyway. I arrived back and headed straight for K&K and the selection there was heaps better than anything I had seen on the Gold Coast. The assistant at K & K told me that they have ladies come from Australia to shop there as there is nothing over there. Shame but true! My daughter who is a size 8 - 10 had a great time - heaps of choice for her.
