Now back to the diary. Day two at Forgiven's:
We got up when we felt like it and talked and talked from the moment we saw each other
. Forgiven's DH waited patiently for us to get ready because he was dropping us off to do some shopping while he went off to visit his rellies. We hunted for summer shorts for me but after a while I got too hot and bothered - so we just ambled around the mall while gas bagging some more - came to a stationery store where we found some goodies and postcards. To post the cards I had to find some stamps but people did not understand what I was saying. I said, "where can I buy some postage stamps". Huh? was the response I got a couple of times!!! Forgiven repeated my question and they said 'oh postage stamps'!!! Thats just what I said!!!! Forgiven and I cracked up several times over my needing translating.
We somehow ended up at the food hall so we had lunch and chatted some more, you get the picture!
We were supposed to meet DH (not mine) at a set time outside where he had dropped us off but we lost track of time!!!! He found us in the foodhall!
Its a good sized mall but he reckoned he knew where we would be. He didnt seem to peeved with us.
We dropped him off home and took off again to the local shops and while we were out - got some very very delicious ice cream! I had one scoop of choc dip cookie ice cream, but you know, their servings are huge, but mmmmmmmm, the memory of it.
We went to the park not far from Forgiven's home to visit the ducks. She parked on a no parking area so I told her she had to move, it did not go down too well!!!
She said she couldnt believe that I was bullying her and that she obeyed me!!! We cracked up again. It was so funny because - the park is in a small local area, there was no one else around. I dont even know why I was concerned! BUT! The sign said, 'no parking'. Forgiven moved the car. No Forgiven dont judge all kiwis and aussies by my behaviour!
That night we went Mexican again! But this time the servings were a manageable size and my Margarita went down a treat - again!
