After checking out a certain site (you know which one) I am appalled that so much venom and hatred and intolerance exists in the world. People who feel like this must have a mental disorder, surely? I felt physically sick at the poison that poured from people. Thank God for our own nice, compassionate, caring, tolerant, intelligent, funny, witty and wise loveable group who do not indulge in these kinds of horrible judgements and who accept people as they are. Thank you my very good friends, for being who you are.

Saddos to a person. Not sure what it is we are supposed to get from this site, an understanding that there are people out there capable of hating others just because of how they look? Well, that's not exactly news is it. We all know that humankind is capable of extraordinary cruelty and hate.
If Runner/AKL thinks it is a place to hang out, and it sure is more her thing than anyone in here's, then I don't understand why she doesn't just stay there.

Faye your 100% right. I never checked out the site nor do I intend to because of the sorce it came from.

If people would try as hard to be kind and to get along and help one another as they do to destroy each other, we would have a great world.

My Hubby is always hollaring at me cause I work around the house with my doors unlocked and some times open if its warm out. I just can't see living behind locked doors all the time. My Aunt hollared at me for opening the door to a total stranger. I told her to give me a break as it was day lite out.

We all should learn to be a little more kinder, and not fly off the handle so quickly. Enjoy the day your in cause you can't go back, and you can't see tomorrow so make this day count for something. try to do something each day that someone else will remember you by. Later

A curious hen, I actually had NO interest in looking at that site referred to as I knew it would only contain inflammatory content and set more Tigers amongst the Pheasants and Peahens

Sweet ladies we all know there are so many, many perverse persons residing on this planet and Internet lurking, ready to have their point of view read, for any response is a good response...
Let us remain in our own space of respectful decency, as we see it.. and not get carried away with more antsy, rude or insulting retorts and further inciting posts.

I am sure there are other sites that welcome these retorts and fiery content..I am not averse to some at times myself, as long as the respect for the other members is always kept in perspective...

Chooky, you are right. However, you cannot stifle opinion to the extent that debate becomes simply a litany of sweetness.
Some here understand my humor and some do not.
When I felt a thread was judgemental and cruel I injected humor, only to be shot down in flames for my efforts. Yet, in this thread the awful AKL and her cronies are derided for their intolerance. ?? How so?
Is there not intolerance to difference rife here anyway? Please think about it.

Anyone who is different attracts criticism. Who says they are different?
We each have our value set. We each are the product of our upbringing and environment, our experiences and our education.

Some abhor obesity, some abhor ignorance, I abhor intolerance based on the fact that someone looks different.

This site has a flavour and a theme, it is for those who are interested in exploring self acceptance and want to hang out with other 'real' women as defined on the front page. Someone who blatantly comes in here time and again with the exact intention of trashing everything this site is about is not even comparable to your gorgeous self, who has different opinions or points of view.
Put it this way, can you compare people at a party, who are all invited by the host, who end up having one of those arguments about politics that so often happen fuelled buy a few chardies, but end up agreeing to differ afte the other guests threaten to throw a bucket of water over them to shut them up, and someone gate crashing said party only to go around trashing the host, criticising the other guests and peeing in the fountain? It's about degrees, intention and context. And frankly I think that is pretty obvious and not something we have to thrash out, do we?
