I had a terrible time last night when I called the power company to get the new house connected. First they told me that I would need to pay a re-connection fee becasue the power had been turned off at the new address. This is not the case as there is still someone living there therefore no need for a re-connection fee. Then the Customer Services rep tells me that because we have had 4 reminders in 12 months then I would need to supply a $150 bond, I've been with this company for over 10 years!! and they are asking me for a bond now what's with that? I asked this and was told that I'm a bad customer because of said reminders, so they charge me for the reminders and now they want to try and charge me again? I'm then told that I can improve my customer rating over time, so I asked, if my rating improves will I get my bond back? The answer was no so I very politley told them to stick it and have signed on with a different supplier. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! A lot of hassle for no good reason, thank goodness for competition. I couldn't think of anything worse than having to bow down to these buggars.
