Guess that qualifies as casting swine before pearls eh, girls?

Oh so True Miss Piggy said it all.

I haven't even figured out how to put on a smiley yet . Hmmn , but then I am just a stuttering old Fairy Queen who put her wand down somewhere in the interim, and lost it!.

To be a desperate housewife or the epitome of elegance? There is such beauty in experience and journey. Why would someone choose veneer? There are a range of greeting cards I just love, cant remember their name but they have photos of real people and lovely lines with them eg two old gummy friends sharing genuine friendship and laughter. Not only are they beautiful, they are precious.
Not only can the likes of Judy and Maggie show us rich beauty, but they have true talent. Is it a mathematical equation? The less talent you have, the more botox you have? I prefer to see someone who cleanses with poise, tones with serenity and moisturises with attitude.

I can forsee Hollywood having problems casting actors for older female roles sometime soon - all the older actresses seem to be on a quest to deny nature and turn into plastic clones with no character what so ever. Not to mention the devestation that too many surgical procedures can wreck. *coughMichaelJackson FarrahFawcettcough*

Sometimes I don't think it pays to tamper with nature. Judi Dench is a wonderful actress... much in the way of Katherine Hepburn or Audrey Hepburn - actresses who aged gracefully and naturally or at least appeared to.

Personally I blame the media - they knock them what age naturally (too old... too wrinkled); them what are a reasonable weight (too fat); them what lose weight to confirm (too skinny)... don't think those poor women can win when they're under the media spotlight.

MoonCatBlue - have always loved that handle of yours! - your Shakespeare quote reminds me of the modern SS series playing on TV1 on Sunday nights. Did you watch Taming of the Shrew last Sunday? Now that's a way to hook people into SS.

Hi Suse - good to see you again.

No I didn't watch the Shakespeare programme - CSI was on at the same time (as was a third program that the mother was watching & I can only tape one thing - CSI won out).

I hate it when theres more than two good programmes on tv at once (and why do they have all the good programmes on one day and then nothing worth watching for the next week?).
