Salliemae, are you nuts...... I can just see us walking towards the middle in this heat to meet up. I'd need more than water... maybe an ambulance....
Now about you taking those pills,,,,, I was warned on here and I'm giving you the same advice. DON'T DO IT.......... your on the right track about the eating part and you have a gym to go to so forget the pills. They can do you more harm than good. Besides from the pictures I've seen your not big by no ways. Just a word of advice..........

hi my name is kim, i was 17 when i started on sure slim and had just finished high school it was the BEST thing that i had ever done. it is hard to get into and i found the first month the hardest giving up all sugar other than natural sugar found in fruits, as i was rather large for a 17 year old i was carrying 90kg i stuck to sureslim for my 6 month program and although at times it killed me i lost 20kg and am now 70kg and have kept it off now for a year, the entire proggram changes your matabolisum whislt you still cant binge on junk food like some lucky people can, you are still able to enjoy the finer foods in life. i found the biggest challange was cooking becasue the list of ingredients is rather challenging. but i had snitzles, chicken nuggets, lasanga (vegitatian), hamburgers and heaps more. i found that you get these really grose seads that you have to eat daily, i used them combined with spices, heards and crackers to make crumbs, its still with in your daily quota and it tastes great. i found that the program provides you with the chance to learn how to eat the right proportions and to watch you weight, if i have a day full off junk food one day, then the next day i have the healthier options. like they say its a life style change i cant eat the really sugary foods that i used to my body cant handle the sugar this is the same with a chocolate bar. but stick through the cravings i found water really helped when i got hungry as the 5 hour eatting at first is sooo hard, but if you really want to lose the weight "will power". hey i gained a steady boyfriend out of it somehting i had never had, the best bit was catching up with people particularly the pretty popular girls that i used to go to school with and having them comment on how beautiful you looked and the boys who look you up and down and what to be your best friend. i would recomend it to anyone its a great program and it really helped me with my life i will be going back to it in a few months to loose another 15kg but im enjoying the new me at the moment

Sue et al, remember Xenacal? (sp?) I am not condoning the use of drugs but there is a new one here called 'alli' It works similarly to Xenacal.
It is FDA approved for across the counter sales and is marketed in a 'starter kit'. I am currently doing much online research. It is set up like Weight Watchers. You get daily journal, all kinds of food guides and portable keychain with calorie counts and hints. Not sure if its in NZ or OZ...or maybe its been there already. There is an online forum for support. You register as a member and join the support group. I have not yet decided whether to proceed or not. It comes with a pill carrier and strict instructions and you have to agree to abide by their guidelines.
An exercise regimen is included. Its a very well packaged product.
There are now whole aisles of Weight loss products in every store, warehouse etc.....its a multimillion dollar business. This new drug appears to be the anti fad dieting drug.
Sorry for the thread drift Sue....I remember that Sureslim thread and I am sure it is there.

Like you LJ I did SS a couple of years ago and it was absolutely terrible, again this is only my experience, but, the 5 hour wait between meals is totally unrealistic and my plan was also the same as everyone else's that I had spoken to. The things you could NOT eat was astonishing to me. It simply was not realistic. It was severe and after a week yes I lost a lot of weight fast, but I felt ill doing it. I barely ate at all to stick to the types of food that I had to eat, it was very limiting. To stick to this kind of regime for extended periods just was too extreme, and once you come off it to resume so called "normal" eating I just knew the weight would go back on, and it did. Luckily for me I was given the gift of an SS program so I didn't pay, but the other thing was the total lack of support I received once I had joined up. I have determination of steel when I put my mind to it, but this was certainly a test of breaking that determination. I just did not want to live a life of depriving myself of basic foods because that is really what happened. As for the seeds you have to eat, I am sure they do you good but I'm no budgie, and I eat seeds and grains in my diet now but in better ways. Anyway, it really is a matter of choice whether you try this and if you do and it works for you, that is fantastic, but it is expensive and make sure you get all the support you need and ask about refunding and the time period in which you have to get a full refund back if you're not happy.

Hi Sue
Have you decided yet whether or not you progress down the Sureslim track? It would sure make the decision easier if the general consensus was unanimous wouldn't it?
While on the subject of weight loss tools, has anyone tried Reductil? I would be really keen to hear of any feedback on this drug.

Thanks to everyone for your feedback. Sureslim seems very strict - no milk allowed, love milk with my coffee. $1000 is a lot of money up front & if is doesnt suit you for whatever reason there is no refund. Far better to pay weekly & for that reason I am going back to Weight Watchers. I had lost 17 kg but have put some back on. I have been very depressed ( the reason some of you know) My friend has started WW too, so we can go together, I need to start walking again but is so hard to get motivated, some mornings I go back to bed, how bad is that. WW does work, just have to stick to your points & write it down. I know if I can lose some weight & get motivated I will feel better about myself. So its lots of veges, fruit, chicken, fish , water( which I hate) for me.
Thanks to everyone.

Hi Sue
I think that WW is a far more realistic weight loss tool and my personal experience with it has been a positive one. I too found the water drinking a struggle but managed to overcome it by having boiied water with a slice of lemon in. In the summer, I kept a jug of boiled water in the fridge with sliced lemon in - much easier to drink than plain old tap water for some reason,
