Ladies needed part time and full time 4 Years, 8 Months ago
Hi Ladies,
I am on the lookout for some passionate ladies that would be interested in helping to raise Breast Cancer Awarenesss by promoting Breast Self Examination Kits. The positive message we are spreading is "Early Detection Saves Lives". It is a mission that can be done from home and also online anywhere in the world. You can do the hours to suit you and you get paid for helping others. We all share the passion of helping others by educating and empowering women to take charge of their health by using this in home medical device called Breast Chek.

Volunteering within the community to promot ebetter health for all is one of those things that we can all do, if we have time, gratis.

That one would be paid to promote a cancer awareness kit seems preposterous. This is clearly a 'for profit' enterprise.

When you bring profit into the community health equation you do everyone a disservice.

Pink Lady...go carefully into this world................it is a harsh place to be. Helloooo Pink Lady? What? Disappeared into Cyberspace?
How so? You surely had nothing but the best intentions? Profit aforethought? Of course.

Sylke these kits have been promoted extensively through October which is Breast Cancer awareness month. Other products that have popped up are pink tim-tams, Pink Dove body wash (smells fabulous, I am addicted, can't say the same for the timtams which are pretty sickly) and other things, all of which have attracted a donation to the Breast Cancer Awareness Coalition. I was invited to one of the inaugural Pink Tea Parties held around Nz and the kits were prmoted there. Context is sometimes decisive

I think that if these kits help to save a life and make women aware of the dangers of not doing self examination, and doing nothing about it then they are priceless, one life saved is still better than none.

The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have.........

Maryanne, if I were in the position to do so, I would have volunteered to promote these kits. That is I would have done the job gratis. Human life is worth so much more. People should do this for NO pay. This should not have to be a paid job. If this poster was asking for Volunteers, that is great. It appeared to me that she was advertising for paid employees to work from home. Community service should be done without any expectation of payment.

By the way, how is Movember going? I have not read anything in the Herald or Stuff about it? Perhaps I should visit the website eh!!!

Movember is hilarious, I keep spotting men with moustaches who are obviously only growing them for Movember as they just don't look like moustache wearers. Especially as, in an attempt to maximise the mo, plenty of them are the kind that droop down the sides of the mouth to the chin, I think they are known as "choppers". I think the prize at our workplace ought to be a 'dangler' and maybe a chest wig!
As for the fund raising, not sure how seriously our lot are taking that part of it!

Hi Pink Lady

Can I ask who funds this concept of part time work promoting Breast Check Devices? I am assuming that it is the Government. Goodness knows that the NZ Government needs to step up and provide more funding within the health sector and Breast Cancer research/awareness/treatment could certainly do with the funding.

I really think that it is splitting hairs trying to make "volunteers" feel bad about being paid to do something that could save many womens lives. IN fact, if it was me that ultimately found a lump and had it treated successfully due to a breast device being sold to me, I would most certainly be happy to think that these people selling them are being paid to do it!

Well done Pink Lady and keep up the good work!
