Loving my walking!! 6 Years ago
Just thought I would share how much I am loving my exercise - gosh did I say that????
I just got back from an almost one hour walk and 4,600 steps and feel really good and still able to breathe. It amazes me how little time it takes you to build up feel so much better for it.
I have now lost 10% of my starting weight and my body is thanking me for it.
How's your exercise going?
When it is pouring with rain I enjoy bouncing on my mini tramp, it does not matter what you do - just so long as you move.

Wow, Roseyone, you are doing so well. I am so pleased for you. We have become a bit lazy in the exercise department but have been eating so much better that both of us have lost another Kilo. Away next weekend to celebrate wedding anniversary so won't hold my breath for the next weigh in. Keep up the good work, I'll look forward to hearing more good news and hopefully sharing some too. D.

Way to go, Roseyone. Isn't it amazing how quickly you feel better once you start exercising. Can you come here and give me a boot up the bum. I haven't been to the gym for several weeks and am feeling very unmotivated. I always seem to have an excuse for why I can't go at present. The funny thing is that when I am exercising regularly I feel so much happier as well as healthier.

AJ, Well, if you insist on lolling your gorgeous rose bud lipped self around on cushions then I cannot blame you for not feeling motivated to go to the gym...
Looks like a lifestyle I could get used to...hehe

Roseyone...you sound so positive and energetic, you must feel very very proud of yourself. Now you can be an inspiration...perhaps you will get me out of my lethargy as I know walking is so good for the spirit as well as the body. My thing is dance...whether I am xxxkilos or xxkilos or even xxxxkilos!! I love to dance. All those years of ballet and modern dance (until I became a heffalump) have left me with reasonable grace thank goodness. Now I would love to do Latin dancing...I adore the tango...but if I cannot dance, stretching and walking make my body feel alive. (not much else does lately )..All the gypsy skirts this summer make one feel like twirling.... one day I actually saw this woman in a gorgeous skirt standing outside the designer discounter twirling away happily. No they didnt take her away...people applauded her!! Its a feminine summer for sure. But..I did have a reality check as I packed thick woolly sweaters. Never wear them in Phoenix so my sweaters have lasted yonks. I still have a Carolyn Sills that I bought in 1998!!!!!

That's great Roseyone. Doing what gives you a kick is the way to go.
Me & my hips hate walking but having a pedometer helps to keep me going.
I really enjoy riding my bike. These new fangled ones are soo much easier to ride than my old grid, that I rode against those awful Canterbury Nor'westers as a girl.

Learning to work the gears has been fun.
My daughter gave me a back pack that holds a water bladder.

I feel great when I get all the gear on & head for our beautiful Nelson cycling tracks.

I do also love the swimming --- feel like a kid again every time I dive in.
Oh well 2 out of 3 isn't too bad I guess.
Woolie hat after swimming weather now.

To kill time try working it to death.

I can't swim (never learnt) and can't ride a bike (ditto) but I can walk, and I love it. I only started last year - never had time before. And now I miss it if I don't walk to and /or from work. Ok sometimes when it is raini9ng particularly hard, I'll get a lift in the morning. But usually I just put a raincoat on and get on with it.

Roseyone, That is great and so proud of you. Really happy your doing so well. You make me feel like I'm just puddering alone but thats ok as I'm a pudder anyway. Like me I can't swim a lick, but I use to ride a bike. I haven't rode in so long I'd probably fall off and break something I couldn't do without. I use to roller skate all the time. I could roller skate till the cows come home. But I started that when I was 13 and never quit till I felt I was too old and my gettalong wasn't getting along to well. When my dad told me I was full of spit and vinagar.

So now I'm happy takeing walks and looking at all the new homes thats going up around us. I'll go in them and imagine who will live there and how it will be arranged and I will just have a ball decorating it. No I wouldn't touch anything or take anything. Its just fun to see the different styles. There are so many right now to choose from. But I'll keep my house as I like it best. Its already lived in and set up. All the new ones though makes my house all the valueable. I walk aways now but a little leary yet as no matter how far I walk I have to walk back. Today I went and helped clean my Church and that was a lot of walking too. And then My hubby and I went grocery shopping as we have people coming in for the weekend.

Do you all celebrate Memorial day over there? Will be a three day weekend. My granddaughter, her 7yr old boy and boyfriend is coming out and will spend the nites at my house and all three have their own motor cycles and will be out in the desert riding during the day. I use to have my own cycle but got to old for that too. Wow When you get old you also are limited to things you use to do. Guess I don't bounce as good as I use to. My bounce went out of my bouncer. Anyway we have a dirt track out in the desert and the boy wants to try it as he rides in competitions. Guess I'm just a stick in the mud anymore.

Hay later. Roseyone your doing great and all the rest of you too.
