Roseyone,
You just keep on walking girl. I'm proud of you and I'm doing so much better too and so proud of myself too. I have to be proud of myself as no one else is for me. You are doing so great. How far do you go now. I'm up to a mile and a half. I'm not pushing it though as I've said and just take my leasure time. Who knows maybe someone will kidnap me one of these times and then my picture will be on a milk carton...... Nah.... on second thought don't think I need that much notice. Its getting hotter now so I have to do it in the evenings late or mornings and I don't get up that early if I don't have too. So maybe I will do it later at nite. Later.

Obviously your legs are a lot better Forgiven, that's great.
Now don't go walking by yourself too late at nite, we can't even do that over here. You be careful. :!: :!: Those great belly laughs you give us we could not do without, and we get rid of excess fluid with all the tears pouring out of our eyes, not to mention washing them.

Thank you Gemma for your concern and yes my legs are doing a world better. Thank you all for your support and encouragement as I've struggled along. you are really a great family.

Here I go getting all mushy again...... I'll need a bucket pretty soon . But I gotta go though and hate to give up being on here for just a min.

Don't worry about me walking at nites, I carry a big stick. Actually I'd probably throw it at them and show them how fast I could run and screaming all the way. I do walk where there is plenty of lites.Plus my girlfriend wants to walk withme too so I say come on.

Good on you forgiven for the walking. Your posting is sooooo much more positive about your exercise than it used to be so you must be doing well with it. With winter here now it is getting cold when I walk to or from work, and it is also dark in the evenings. But like Forgiven, I walk along where there are street lights, and also it is along a main(ish) road.

People act all surprised when I say I'm walking home. The interesting thing is that I feel more nervous at around 5.30pm walking home when there were a few more other people also walking, than I do when I leave work an hour later (fewer people on the footpaths).

And I feel so proud of myself too. Hey Forgiven, I bet if you keep it up long enough, you'll find that others will respect you for it and start being proud of you too. I think my partner didn't believe that I would keep going - just another 1 week wonder - I've had a few - and now that he can see that I'm sticking with it, I think he's impressed.

But it doesn't matter to me what others think anyway, as I'm doing this for me. It has helped me feel so much better, both in knowing that I can stick with something that would be easy to avoid, and in the physical changes. Okay chunky rugby player legs are better on male rugby players, but at least they are no longer flabby.
