Re: Loving my walking!! 6 Years ago
Would someone please remind me to get in a stock of heavy duty Poise please, before I read any more of Forgiven's posts . I have to tell you that you are a real tonic to read Forgiven... you just say it like it is, and I have just had my first great belly laugh today (weather is foul.. I am blue ) when I read about you and your bike riding when you were all fired up with 'spit and vinegar" and how you gave it up in case you did damage to a part you might still need! Gawd... Those were the days.. .. I used to ride a bike, and a horse too once upon upon a time, way back when. Wouldn't set myself astride a wooden horse today, in case it bucked me off, and I am sure that I have lost my bounce long since as well. And, of bikes.. well, the only bike I am likely to mount again, is the exercycle in my garage. Vicious thing that it is... Nah second thoughts, don't think I will get on that cripling seat again either... got to preserve some of my parts just in case I might need them again one day too
Walking is the best... and Roseone... proud of you!! Go, girl go!

forgiven, what k-k-katy is trying to tell you in her polite way is that you make her laugh so much she nearly wets her pants. Poise is a brand of incontinence products - not sure if it is a local or global brand. But useful, nevertheless.

Hay KKKk Katy
I thought you were talking about a real horse riding trot. Your right I'd have to stick to a wooden one too even though I would be afraid of getting splinters in my rear end from sliding from one end to the other. I just like walking and that way theres no fast moves and I'm not afraid I'll land on something thats important to me.
Went and picked up my Granddaughter today from school. What an expierence. Feel like putting a sock in her sweet little mouth sometimes just to shut her up. We went into an antique shop. What a mistake. She jabbered all through the store and to top it off the clerk was behind her putting in her two cents ever breath she could. Finally I stoped and told my granggaughter clam it, and the clerk I told her I'd call her if I needed something. Trying to be nice about it. Well G.D. did slow down some but the clerk just kept going and I finally ask her if anyone ever told her she had diarea of the mouth and I left. Well I had my fill and I was afraid I would say something I'd be sorry for.
Anyway I better get off this in case the kids are trying to call. There coming as I said for the weekend. Its getting late. Later.

Yeah girls, I need a mega pack of Poise, large pack of tissues, lge pot of arnica too, for the bruises I get everytime I fall off my chair. You would be needing some of that too, wouldn't you Chookin :?: tho' didn't you tell me you got a new chair with arms on. :?:

You just crack me up Forgiven, with your humour.

Talking about jabberers, my first g child Kati, who is 22 now, used to spend a great deal of time with me when she was small. She'd jabber away flat out, and I would tell her she was my * menace to society* and give her hugs and cuddles. One evening my brother and sisters and I were taking an evening walk at the bach, along the beach lane. She was with me of course, she was just 2 yrs old, and her mouth went for it. Told her to be quiet, and give the adults a go now and then, as I could see they were getting a bit tetchy. After having to tell her a few times, she heaved a great sigh and said "I just a menosiety aye, Gem"

That softened the niggly old bugga's a bit.

We used to tell dtr that she could "talk under water with a mouth full of marbles" After a while she would meet someone new and introduce herself announcing "Did you know I can......" We had to stop then!
