Holiday Home 3 Years, 8 Months ago  
Any of you Canterbury girls have, or know of, a house for rent this Xmas? We need a 2 bedroomed place from 20/12/08 to 3/1/09 - prefer central Chch location, but willing to look further afield. The various holiday homes websites we've investigated have turned up some lovely houses, but either their owners won't commit this far out, or they want $80+ a night, which is more than we can afford.

Jode, I don't think you would get anything under that price in Chch at Christmas. Most people are probably like us and need more to cover their holiday costs. I will keep an eye out in The Press for you though.

Thanks AJ, but we've found somewhere - it's $80 a night but is so central that we can forego the hire car and use public transport instead. Canterbury here we come!

Hey Jode, I think that nearer the time you should remind us of your visit and maybe we could have a get-together with you! It'd be lovely to meet you after all these years reading your posts and "knowing" your family!!!

You were very sensible booking in advance. There are lots of wonderful things to see and do in Christchurch.
