Hi everyone!
I'm so happy to have found a plus size community in New Zealand. In France, we have plenty of websites like this, some for teens, some for dating, some for discussing, some mainly about fashion... and they are all very active (vivelesrondes.com, pulpeclub.com, etc...)! I really hope it will be the same in New Zealand, so far I have only found your website, but I hope that NZ is as opened on size acceptance as France. Some people have told me that in NZ size acceptance does not really exist, that everything is more around being fit, doing a lot of sport, etc.... (well, you can do a lot of sport, be healthy, and still be oversize...): please tell me this is not true?!
I'm moving to Auckland in a few month, by the beginning of june, and I have to say that it's a little bit stressful to move once again to a totally new country (we've been to Canada then Tanzania before), but at the same time it is great, the world is so vast, there are so many cultures to appreciate! Well, why I a so stressed? It may sound stupid, but I'm quite a shopping addict... (if you have ever read any shopaholic book, you see what I mean...), and I don't know if it is easy to find nice plus size clothes in NZ (I'm a size 50-52 in european size, still have to check the nz correspondance!)? I've been around a few websites, but I have only found casual ones, nothing "young" (ex: Torrid.com in the US, Evans in UK, etc....): but well, I hope I'll find some more, and mainly I hope that there are some shops around Auckland where it is possible to do some cute shopping!
Let's be positive, I'm 100% sure that I'll find loads of address, websites, and great tips!
