Plus size sports clothes in Auckland? 2 Years, 12 Months ago
I'm looking for shops which will sell plus size training clothes. Adidas and Nike have all their nifty dri-fit but I don't know a) if the sizes are big enough or b) if I can go in and try them on in a store. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Why don't you ask them the question Olivia ? I am pretty sure that any store selling clothing of any sort in NZ would have a fitting room where you could try garments on. Experienced assistants would also be able to look at you and tell you which brand would be most likely to suit your build because they get to know which manufacturer has generous cuts, and or true to label sizes . Try Rebel sports for instance, but other stores, even TWH have some sportswear as well.

Hi Olivia - I know what you are saying, I wouldn't want a petite sales clerk at a sports store eyeing me up and down trying to figure out if I can fit their gear either. I use the active brand from The Warehouse, I am from a 22-26 depending on the brand and the XL size fits me very well, it is a tight squeeze initially but I break them in fast lol. Granted, they aren't branded gear, but there is a discrete changing room and many options. I recommend the the Manukau one if you are near it, I think it caters very well to the plus size market. Just be careful as you are only allowed about 4-6 garment to try on at one time.

I would love to hear how you get on or if you find a branded alternative
