Well, I started on reductill over 2 months ago and I stopped taking it just over 3 weeks ago and I think it ws the best thing to do. I was reccommended this drug by my Dr to help kick start weight loss as nothing else was working for me, and it was great for the first month, I lost weight over the xmas break, first time ever, and I felt good and had lots of energy. Then it started to go a bit wrong. I got dizzy periodically, I started feeling really tired all the time, the energy was seeping away and no amount of exercise would make me feel better. Leg cramps and spots started next. I've never been one for acne, 1 spot, once a month before my period was due was all I had since a teenager but then I went to breaking out all over, big nasty spots, really oily skin, my hair started falling out, my Dr said it was due to the heat wave we have been having and to keep on the reductil. I was doubtfull, and when the chest pains and irregular heart beat started I was off that drug quick smart! My heart has gone back to normal, my hair is still falling out but not so much and my skin is slowly clearing up. My energy is picking up again but I still feel wiped out at the end of every day. The lovely Dr is no longer working at the medical centre anymore, she was just a locum aparently, so I can't follow up with her but I don't care because as far as I'm conserned she nearly killed me, as I did with my own decision to take a drug I'd heared bad things about, but I'd also heared good so...unfortunatly I was one of the unlucky ones this drug didn't agree with. As for the weight loss, I havn't been on the scales yet, I'm still exercising and eating well but I'm gageing it by how my jeans feel when I do them up. For all those who would like to say 'I told you so' or "it's your own fault for not listening to us' I'd like to say yes, some of you were right, it can be harmful but for some it has been great so...there you go, just not for me.
