I know this thread is old news, but I only just spotted it and felt compelled to reply.
I hope you get this Staying There :O)
All you people out there who cant see the truth in what "ST" has said in this thread are kidding themselves and basically not taking responsibly for themselves....they would rather lay the blame for their own inability to control their diet and exercise habits on biological, psychological and environmental factors - apparently "out of their control", as they simply don't feel they are able to assert any control themselves and it would be easier and less demanding to pay some "weight-loss bandwagon, pharmaceutical company" to take over the responsibility for their own personal struggles.
I am not condemning all people who struggle in this area, as I am sure there are probably genuine cases of medical issues causing weight gain in some individuals.......but for the majority of us out here, controlling your weight....unfortunate as it may seem...truly is a difficult, yet essential case of learning to control your own behavior and retraining yourself to make good choices, regardless of your overwhelming impulses to do the opposite.
I am sure many, if not most of you out there will disagree with me...hence the overwhelming obesity statistics.......think about it...these medical issues, which people claim are causing them to be overweight and unable to control it....are supposedly hereditary...they didn't just pop up in the last fifty years....so tell me then, where is the evidence of obesity being an issue for these "carriers" in ancient history?....this wasn't even a problem for our grand-parents - who, interestingly enough did not have a fast food/doughnut shop on every corner, cooked basic home style food with vegetables and natural ingredients and often walked, biked or rode horses to work and school. It doesn't take Einstein to make the connection.
For all those out there that are angry at me right now for throwing the truth in your faces....prove me wrong! Drink two glasses of water when you wake up, eat a bowl of museli with low fat milk and a piece of fruit for breakfast, have two rice crackers with cottage cheese and a cup of herbal tea for morning tea a salad sandwich with tuna and mayo...and NO MARGARINE...and a piece of fruit for lunch, a boiled egg, a piece of toast and herb tea for afternoon tea and a small serving of meat with plenty of vegetables (no cheesy sauces and other fattening crap) for dinner and lots of water throughout the day. Mix it up with other healthy options walk for twenty minutes four times a week and keep it up for four weeks (although you would see the effects within days - Ive done it...so i know)....then come back here and reconsider your opinion on whether or not you have the ultimate control of who and what you want to be.
To "ST" good on you...thank God there are other people in this world who have the common sense to know a scam when they see one and be brave enough to say so.
