At the moment here in the UK there is a bit of a carry on in the media about one of our mps, who said it would be nice to see the faces of women who are covered up completely with the veil they wear. when he holds his "surgeries" (why they are called surgeries i do not know!) he felt its better to see some ones whole face rather than their eyes. He wasnt asking these ladies to strip off, just uncover their faces, and if they didnt want to fair enough. Well the way the media and some muslim groups have carried on is totally OTT! Yet one of our top news readers who is a christian, was told she could not wear a cross to read the news in case she offended people, now im a heathen, and she does not offend me, neither do the muslim ladies who wear the burkka, but it does not say in the koran that they should cover up completely only dress modestly. Yet no one is kicking off about the newsreader who was told not to wear her cross. Then people wonder why feelings are running high between different communities. Its PC again gone mad, one law for one set of people and bugger the rest (the majority rest i may add). I really dont know where this is going to end, but it will get much worse before it gets better, the lunatics are certainly taking over the asylem here in the UK. :? sadly if anyone does say anything you are branded "Racist" so its a no win situation.
