On Sunday the 10th of June 2001 some Christchurch realwomen members got together at Cognito in Normans Road. What a wonderful time we all had. The theme was purple, we all wore something purple so that we could recognise each other. Well there were sparkly purple tops, gorgeous slippers, feathers and flowers to name but a few!

It was like we had all known each other for years, lots of laughter, chatter and definitely no uncomfortable silences. We even had a fellow dinner come over and ask what our purple club was all about - I think he noticed the hellium balloons, flowers and stars!

I think this was our first RW get together and we had fun getting to know each other. I wonder what has happened to some of the old timers pictured above. They seem to have become lost to us, but a core of originals is still there.
