It is quite easy to determine your skin type and once you have learnt how, it will be easy to decide what moisturiser, cosmetics and cleansers you need to buy. Wash your face with a skin cleanser, then rinse and pat dry, wait an hour. Does your skin feel "tight"? Next, press a separate piece of tissue onto each area of your face - your chin, center of cheeks, outer cheeks, center of forehead, outer forehead and nose and then check each tissue looking for oily residue or flaky skin residue. Oil on each tissue indicates that you have an oily skin type, while oil on only some tissues (specifically those on the T-zone, which is the center of forehead, nose, chin and center of cheeks) means you have a combination skin type. Flaky skin residue on all tissues - without oily residue - or a tight feeling in the skin indicates a dry skin type. No oil and no flaky residue on any parts of the tissue indicates a normal skin type. Tips:
