Ingredients:scones.jpg

* 1 cups flour sifted with

* 3 teaspoons baking powder

* 1/2 teaspoon salt

* 2 tablespoons sugar

* 1/4 cup butter

* 1/2 cup cream

* 2 beaten eggs

 

Cooking Instructions:

Cut butter into sifted dry ingredients.

Combine eggs and cream and add.

Pat to 3/4-inch thick.

Cut in squares or triangles, sprinkle with sugar and bake at 375° until lightly brown, about 20 minutes.

Serve hot with jam, preserves or spreads.

Makes 1 dozen

Hey - I like scones, like all good Kiwi ladies - but they need to be eaten warm and fresh. To do a taste test, you bake them, bring them to my home, I'll eat them, and if they're as good as they look - I'll let you have some too.
Hey, I will even provide the coffee, tea or whatever you like to drink (as long as its not too much alcohol!)
