Hi Everyone, this is my story of how I got started on the RealWomen site.

It was on a Sunday, as I was still feeling the effects of the service at Church.  I was trolling around into different things on the internet and came across... realwomen.co.nz and thought that sounded interesting.  I tried to get into the site and I found out that I wasn’t going anywhere ‘til I gave out some info too.

So I sat and tried all the wrong things and finally I got into the forum.  After establishing a password and forum name, I sat reading some of the subjects and found it to be really interesting.  I thought this site is for women like me.

Well, like a country bumpkin, I jumped in with both feet and shoes on.  My first subject was (don’t attack me girls) ‘Is there any Christians on here?’.

Holy cow, did I ever get a reply right off the bat, a certain person told me to take me and my subject to another place as this was not the place for it, that there were other forums for people like me.  I about fell about of my seat when I read her reply and was ready to fold this forum up and forget it.  But I kept coming back and making comments here and there on others’ subjects and yet staying up with my own topic.

I was so happy when the other gals started backing me in my topic.  Some not really going along with everything but yet defending me to this other person who was still ragging on me to drop off the whole show.  It sorta got out of hand for a while and I think the admin finally put it out of commission and ended the topic.  No, they never took it off the forum, but nothing more was to be said.  Ever since then I haven’t really mentioned it again.  I’ve requested thoughts and Prayers on a couple of things as I learned that there were Christians on here.  I don’t condemn the ones that aren’t and think just as much of them as I do the rest, but I also learned that whenever I see a big mess on the subject I just keep my mouth shut and just move on. 

I’ve been on here I think, a little over a year and I’ve met some mighty fine ladies and great friends.  They all have made me feel like I was one of them even clear over here in this country.  At first I was afraid to really get involved in the subjects as I wasn’t in New Zealand, but as time went on – thanks to the Ladies – I do feel part of this forum and plan to be here for a lot longer. 

I thank you and your staff for allowing me to be here and all the other RWs for putting up with me... LOL.
