Succulent Woman
by Adrienne Wilder

I am ripe
Filled with sweet juices
My skin soft
And edible
I come in many colours
Sizes
Shapes
I dangle in the sun
Out on this limb
Waiting for you to pick me
Maybe you think you can not
Handle me?
Afraid I might make you
Satisfied
When you are hungry enough
For a real woman
With hips
Thighs
And breasts
You’ll take me to your lips
Bite down deep
Let my juices flow down your chin
Taste me on your tongue
And you wont be able to stop
Because I am a succulent woman

I love the poem
Seals, anyone?

Ah, lovely stuff. Does anyone know the name of an African American poet who, in one of her poems, describes her thighs as being like silky black seals? I can't for the life of me recall who she is, but I'd like to reread her work.
