I miss you.

I know I was very blessed to have 53 yrs.

I miss you hands. The gentle touch and rugged fingers that worked so hard.

I miss your kind words. I miss your strength. I miss hearing you express your belief in your God.

I miss the morning twinkle in your eyes.

I miss the sound of your voice- singing and humming.

I miss your positive attitude.

I miss your shoulders shrugging when I would say- " Oh it is too hot"

I miss being able to help you.

I miss setting your clothes out each day- I miss the pride you had in your appearance.

I miss the smell of shoe polish.

I miss gagging over fried okra.

I miss hearing you shuffle through the kitchen.

I miss watching Sadie wait for you at the door.

I am happy you lived life to the fullest.

I am happy you taught me to live life without regrets.

I am happy you are no longer in pain.

I am happy it was sunny the day you ended your journey.
