I'm a new member of realwomen (yay for me!!!) and I am miffed that I can have my whinge for the day read by women,like myself who actually give a damn!

Well,moving right along....

My story begins in Sept 2003 after one of my many visits to the doctor(I was getting sick and aggravated cold sore attacks non stop). I had reached an all time weight gain high (89 kilos plus I am like 160cms SHORT!!!.

My doctor turned to me and said "Zowie, all I can say is that your cold sore attacks and your generally messed up health all point at one thing (I so saw it coming...) you MUST LOSE WEIGHT!!",/P>

I most definately agreed!

That was the day I got Reductil prescribed to me,I was 19 yrs old at the time. Since that day I have lost 25 kilos and have kept it off but its those last 4 or 5 kilos that really get to you...

Reductil stoped working after a while and almost as soon as I got off the drugs I was having withdrawals, eating everything in sight, feeling guilty, feeling fat, disgusting, ugly, sick... the list goes on.,/P>

My next step was my worst, I discovered Duromine and that's why I'm sharing this story. I'm heavily dependant on Duromine, it's my quick way out of a fat disgusting world that I live in.

It's like this ladies,I'm at work and I'm on my lunch break. One of the girls I work with joins me on this particular day and is the bearer of hmm, not so surprising news.. Anyway, we sat down at a table and received menus,(I was starving!!). I looked at the menu thoroughly before deciding on a chicken and mayo sandwhich and greek salad (no! not diet food !!). As we place our orders and the waitress leaves my friend looks over at me and says "Oh Z I'm so glad to see you're on a diet, you've gained a few kilos you know,I mean everyone at work has noticed it, some of the guys have even asked me if you were pregnant!! Are you?"

I sat there trying my hardest not burst into heavy duty tears and I successfully kept it together, I looked up at her (all the while I had my eyes glued to the ground) and said "yeah... I put on a few kilos... you're right.. no I'm not pregnant..." The following hour was passed with extreme tension and embarrassment.

So, here I am at the bottom again, back on the Duromine, desprate to loose those "extra kilos", depressed, disgusted and ugly, yet again.. I would love to get your comments on this ladies, do people come up to you (or behind your back) and ask if your expecting or when are you due? Hmmm... would love to read your feed back ladies.. thanks for reading into my rather largely messed up world..
